This was my grandmother's sewing machine -- it is attached to a table that flips out so you can sew and then flips back inward, looking like an ordinary side table when it's not opened. The signage on the machine indicates it's a Stichmaster "Deluxe Zig Zag" made in Japan (no year visible), with a Champion motor of 110 volts. The machine still works and the table/wood is in good condition. Any idea what it might be worth or who to take it to (Chicago area) for an assessment?

Old sewing machines have very little value, there are a few exceptions. Machines were made to last and this they have. I have a hard time selling them. Most people buy them for the table and remove the machine. I have sold quite a few for $10 - $30 depending upon the style and condition of the sewing table.
