Grin Cheesy A great big hug and thank you to Shoreluvhistory and Curiosity for all of their work in answering questions on the forum.

It has grown larger than I thought it would when I started it and there is just no way that I could keep up with it without your help.

That is the purpose behind the forum.... to help each other with questions. As I have been going through the questions tonight I've noticed many people participating in the give and take and I LOVE IT.

My plate has been so full lately that it is just impossible for me to keep up with everything. So once again thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I will come up with something to show my appreciation to all of you who have been helping out.

A great big hug to YOU, Michelle, for establishing this wonderful site!  And thank you for your "Thank you"  Grin...I so enjoy reading each post/inquiry and although I have had my share of family health issues involving my younger granddaughter, I am thankful that she's OK now and I can help out on this forum whenever I can.  Blessings always, Sharon, ShoreLuvHistory

I am new to this site.....and would like to start with hello. I have an interesting piece {cream pitcher} marked "verus porcelain", with a straight horizontal line between the two words on the bottom. i believe this dates before 1870......but how far? Thank you for your help........

This is without a doubt the most confusing and user UNfriendly website I have ever seen.  Figuring out how to post is almost impossible, the directions are far too lengthy, and whatever value the site may have is lost among the clutter.   It's a shame, too, because there may be some great folks with some great items or questions who can't figure out the mess.  Bill

I am sorry that you find this forum confusing..... you were able to type in your complaint so evidently you figured out the basics

You simply create an account (you cannot post without an account)
Pick the topic under which you want to post your question
Click on Post New Topic
Type in your question
And then click on post, this will make your question go live

If you want to add photos that option is under the "additional options" topic that is just to the left of the box you type in.

Under most of the topics I have an explanation on how to post photos.

Please ask questions before you go slamming a forum that has helped many people and one that I spend a lot of hours maintaining. I can take it down in a heartbeat.

I need to apologize for my previous post. I had no reason to be so catty. We have so many folks on this forum that lend their knowledge and time to help others I took the remark as an insult... which it was intended to be and I had had a very bad day.

But any of you who "know" me know that I don't hold back when hit below the belt. An apology is still in order.  Embarrassed

I will create a very basic "help" file. The one you see was created by the folks who crafted this program. Hopefully this will help more users.

Listen you were totally 100% justified in how you handled the situation only next time you need not apologize for your defence againt someone who for what ever his reason is  felt the need to attack your site rather than look at his own abilty to comprehend simple instructions  Instead of acting like an adult this person was rudely impatient, inconsiderate of the people that are using your site and in my opinion his behavior is unaceptable. Seems to me you handled it just how you should have ou simply told the truth about him his behavior and pointing out the facts. when its the truth its the truth and thats all it has to be. its refreashing to see someone else out there that is able to defend what is theirs and to stand up what they believe in and to do it without looking like someone on the defensive this is a talent trust me i know i too can make my point with class. as for  "Mr. Doom N Gloom" well hes most likely not coming back to your site and im sure if you were to take a poll  he wont be missed! Consider it a good thing huh? keep up the good work im allready hooked.

Thank you for your support. I tend to be brutally honest sometimes and it comes out pretty hateful and I need to watch that  but in the above post I don't really know what the complaint was about since they were able to make that post yet complained about the board in general. Sometimes people are hard to figure out.  Undecided
