this cabinet belonged to my grandparents and i have no idea what it is or the value. its in decent shape, minor scratches, the shelfs behind the glass door are missing, they were removed by my grandfather who used this as a gun cabinet, i know this peice is at least 90 years old. if anyone can give me any info at all i would greatly apperciate it. thanks!

Your lovely secretary bookcase is commonly referred to as a "Larkin Cabinet" because many people acquired them by saving premiums (soap wrappers) from the Larkin Soap Company. They were also sold through the Sears catalog.

You are correct on the age + or - ten years.

As for the resale value, in the condition that you have described it would sell in an antique shop or private sale for $50-$75 USD. In perfect condition they are currently selling for around $150.
