Hi Granny A.

I have two upholstered chairs that my great-grandfather had. I know absolutely nothing about antiques expect that they're old
so please be kind.  Smiley

Anyway, I've heard it mentioned in my family that they were "Empire" ?  If they're not worth anything, I figure I'm just going
to toss them out.  I have included a picture just so I can at least find out what they are. BTW, I scanned Google images for a good two hours and I
saw nothing that even came close to how they look. One question -- does good quality antique furniture "always" have a maker's mark somewhere?
IOW, if I can't find a mark, I'll can assume they're worthless?

Thanks a bunch for any help.

Sorry, it looks like my pic didn't come through. So I'll try again.
