 where is a good information site that would give me information about 17 centurey acid etched  paintings on  leaded windows

Acid etching on glass is a process invented in the 1860s or 19th century it is also known as "French Embossing."

Acid etching was seen much earlier on metal to create engravings.

If you have a local stained glass shop they should be able to give you information on the pieces you have.
