I have to old dolls that belonged to my late mother, which i know nothing about. What I do know is one appears to be very old. It's 13" tall and I believe it's Bisque. She has closed mouth and molded hair. Her color is Parian. The second is newer, also Bisque with a wig. She is 15" tall and dressed colonial/Betsy Ross-like. I tried to attach photos but they wouldn't load.I can send them I believe through a regular email. There are no visible markings to show their makers, and so I'm hoping someone on this site might help.

In order to assist you I would really need to see photos. I will send you a private message on how to easily upload photos.

Thank you

I still don't see the dolls. Is there a link to them somewhere? I didn't notice one in the message you sent me.

Thanks

I forgot all about having you upload them to photobucket, sorry about that.

Both of the dolls are contemporary and actually look like dolls created by an amateur doll maker probably no earlier than the 1950s or 1960s.

The china head doll was probably a 'kit' where you purchased the head, legs and arms then created the body and dressed her. The other doll simply does not have the definition and quality of a mass produced doll and certainly not of a fine German or French antique doll. You can look at her hands and the eyes they just don't have the definition of an antique doll.

As far as resale price of these dolls. It would be difficult to sell them for much at all maybe $10 for the pair.
