It looks like what some would call Louis XVI, maybe? It fits perfectly in my formal music room.  Anyone know anything about it? I cannot find a mfg mark on it.  I know it is not authentic because of the 20th century fiber backing underneath.  It has a satin-like brocade fabric.  It is not in perfect condition--has some cracks at stress points.

The "King's" chair has musical carvings (violin).  I love this set!

I would say that if I had to pick a style I would go with Louis XV. This style of furniture saw very little use of straight lines, anything that could be curved was curved. It was also highly ornate in design.

You are correct, this is not antique furniture but it looks wonderful. It is hard to determine an age without actually seeing it in person.... at least for me but this style of furniture has been being crafted even today.

Love it, thank you for sharing!   Smiley
