New Collector

Hi, Actually, I'm not a new collector, I've collected "stuff" for years, have inherited some and they have all collected dust as I went about other things.  Now, I'm retired and have rediscovered all my "stuff" and am trying to find out what it all is.  Right now the worth is not as important as what, who & why.  Unfortunately, most everyone I could ask why is gone.  I've been going through 2 silver chests and have identified most of the patterns but I may post some here soon.  Pottery that belonged to my mother-in-law is next on the list, not much here, but I know it was important to her so I'd like to find out whatever I can.  And, that's why I joined Granny's.  Thanks
