here is another page with reproduction marks on it. This reproduction business is like a bad virus so we need to educate ourselves on what is real and what isn't. I wish that folks would just stop buying this junk and maybe the market would dry up.

Hi Michelle:

Thanks for posting this link.  I had been looking for a mark which the antiques dealer claimed was Meisen circa 1900-1910 (this mark looks like a big slanted Y with a line across the vertical part) and was unable to find it on any antique marks website.  I did, however, find it on yours.  It turned out to be a reproduction made in Japan, imported by the Charles Sadek Import Co., which was founded in 1936.  I was really disappointed to discover this, but thanks to you, I now know what I have.  Your help is very much appreciated.

Best wishes,

Hi, my name is Anjelicia and I have been going crazy truing to find information on a very old and very large antique pitcher and bowl set.
On the back it has a Stamp I have never seen before and with a magnifier I can see the works, Merger and Semi Vitreous.

It was purchased at an Antique Show and its gorgeous. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have pictures also.

Thank you,
Anjelicia
