I have an old antique sewing machine.  I think it is either a singer vibrating shuttle machine.  Can anyone tell me what it is worth.  It has been changed by adding an electric pedal.  The serial number is 9989650 and I think it was manufactured in 1873.

Most of these machines are only worth a couple of hundred dollars but the conversion might lower the value on this unless the treadle was kept intact.

Condition is key. Wood in good shape, working, etc.

You can call Singer with the serial number and they will tell you when it was made but don't even ask for a value. I have a mini guide for dating these machines based on serial number on my website - http://www.mygrannysatticantiques.com/html/dating_singer_sewing_machines.html

I have a cabinet treadle sewing machine that has the name Delaplane on the actual sewing machine.  Would you please tell me more about it?

I have an old sewing machine SINGER made in Germany, the serial number is C 3466116. Can anyone tell me when is manufactured? (Year)
I know that the C series single letter prefix are beginning 1908, but how many time is fabricated this model? Thank you.
