Here is a pic of the inside.  It is fairly clean with little wear.

It does not have the appearance of a baptismal font but it does look like a dry sink or even a potty.

If you can show a photo of the inside that would be helpful.

This is a "Morgan" dollar. As for value this is dependent upon condition but a rough price range is $40-$60 USD

There is not a lot of information available on the Jos. Heinrichs company. They began operation around 1897 and continued through around the 1930s.

The company made a variety of metal items that were sold through retailers and they also supplied hotels.

In order to identify the piece I would need to see a photo.

Thank you

I have a Jos. Heinrichs's electric copper coffee or tea pot. It is rough coated inside with either porcelain or ceramic. It would probably safely hold 4 cups of liquid. On the bottom is stamped- Jos. Heinrichs, Paris, New York, 8 , Pat. April 23, 1907, 110 v. 400 w. It has no lid but at some time it apparently did. There are three small holes equally spaced the top opening. There is no handle but there are 2 square shaped brackets, appearing to be brass, one under the other about 2 inches apart. The two electric on the bottom are also made of brass and come out on somewhat of an angle and would not accept a standard appliance plug. I can't find any like it anywhere on the net. Does anyone have any knowledge about this item or where I might find some. Thanks!

I would NEVER sell this - I just would like to identify the marking.  They were poor growing up on a farm in IN so it is not expensive & I have found a piece that is similar I am happy to say.  I never knew my grandma - my mom was the youngest of 9.  So I want to know more about this piece.

It is a bowl on a plate with this marking that says Made in Japan in red.

It would really mean a lot to me

Thanks for your reply.  It is the correct photo.  The raised centre has hinges and lifts up like a trap door.

Let me see if I can adjust the contrast of the photo and enlarge it then I will repost it.
