Hello, I recently inherited several peices of my grandmother's china from my mother's estate. I would like help identifying the pattern and finding out when this peice was made. I know from the backstamp this plate was manufactured by Porzellanfabrik Moschendorf, Bavaria. There is a number 18 directly below "BAVARIA" on the stamp. Question; does this mean it was manufactured 1918 or is this the number for the pattern? The design on the front of the plate is five pink 'cabbage' roses on the perimeter of the plate with another rose on a gold colored placard at it's center. The rim is gold colored as well. Any information will be appreciated. Thank you, Jeffrojt

Hi,

I can't see a photo of the mark unless I don't know how to view it on this post, but in general MOSCHENDORF PORCELAIN FACTORY was in operation only ca 1878 - 1945.  The 1918 is probably the Model Number, but can't tell for certain without seeing the actual mark.  They used several marks throughout their operations, some for a few years and some for the entire time, so - again - without looking at the mark it's hard to tell.

To see all of their marks on one page, please log in to our www.Marks4Antiques.com and use our NAME SEARCH feature to enter MOSCHENDORF .

Best regards,
