Hello everyone:

I have inherited a tea set from my mother (service for 12 (incomplete).  All she could tell me about it was that she had seen it in her grandmother's china cabinet for as long as she could remember which would date it 1920's and before.  It has and over-sized sugar bowl; what I would call berry bowls; dessert plates; tea cups/saucers; teapot and two serving platters with handles (handles are also china).  There are no markings on the bottom, but for the numbers '2450' and underneath that '109'.  It has a dogwood branch pattern with flowers being blue and some with patches of pink.  The branches and leaves are brown and gray.  There are gold brush strokes on the handles, which have china flowers on the curves, also etched with gold brush strokes.  I haven't been able to find anything even remotely resembling this set and would appreciate some help identifying, dating and valuing it.  My great-grandfather was an auctioneer back in the day (pre-1920) and travelled the world, so it could be anything from anywhere.  I'm thinking Bavarian(?).  Help

Let's hope that someone has this same pattern and has some info on it. I don't want to venture a guess....
