Kovel covered serving dish

I purchased a covered serving dish at a garage sale and inside was a tag English 1882 Kovel marks 124 yrs old.  I bought it because I like covered serving pieces.  The mark on the back is a diamond shape with a circle at the top (with something inside I can't quite make out).  There are also letters enclosed by half circles in each corner.  Can anyone help me with this?
